MISSION PHILOSOPHY:
THE GREAT COMMISSION
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:19-20
Our mission is simple: follow Christ's directives to evangelize the whole world. Our emphasis is reaching Russia, but we will also have the opportunity of reaching Ukraine as well. What we strive to do is the same as any local, New Testament church should be doing. The difference? We are just taking the Gospel a little farther.
We are independent Baptists. The Bible is our Final Authority for how we live our lives, what we believe, and how we accomplish our Lord's objectives. You can read our doctrinal statement.
As to our philosophy of ministry, please visit read below for more details. We have done our best to condense the Biblical principles we are given about church-planting and replication into five main points.
G.R.A.C.E.
1. Glorify God
This should be our primary goal. Because of this, we believe in the Biblical mandates of personal separation and ecclesiastical separation. Our ministry is centered on the glorification of Christ by the life-changing power of the Gospel and we seek to demonstrate it as Galatians 1:16 and 1 Corinthians 10:31 mentions.
2. Relationship Building
Build friendships with the people that you are trying to reach. Trust goes a long way and if they cannot trust you about earthly things, they may not listen to you concerning heavely things. While the lack of a relationship won't stop us from sharing the Gospel, they do provide an excellent bridge for the Good News to come across.
3. Aiding in Understanding:
Without any Bible knowledge, a person cannot adequately grasp the immensity of their sin and responsibility before God - much less know that salvation is by grace through faith and because of Jesus Christ alone. As missionaries, it is our responsibility to distinguish salvation from religion. Many people are religious and would pray the "Sinner's Prayer" without much thought, but we want true conversions of sinners repentant for their crimes against God and seeking Christ to save them. This takes time and patience - just like the process of sowing and reaping. (Acts 8:30-31, Romans 10:14-15)
4. Christ-Centered Discipleship:
We aren't trying to replicate American ideas or philosophies into people's heads or hearts. The important thing is to teach converts to walk worthily in a relationship with God. We aim to help believers grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. A relationship with God will be the motive for their faithfulness and service. (2 Peter 3:17-18)
5. Equipping and Sending:
The goal is replication of God-glorifying, God-loving servants through the continual planting of other like-minded independent Baptist churches. If we get the spiritual DNA right, they will be missionaries and church planters too. Therefore, we plan on teaching and equipping believers with the skills and knowledge they need to continue the work and replicate it elsewhere. From the church we start, we as missionaries will either turn that initial church over to capable nationals or train and separate men to do what God calls them to. Such will depend on the Lord's leading.
(Acts 13:1-2)
